REVOLUTIONARY CONSTRUCTION, SEAMLESS DURABILITY, UNSURPASSED COMFORT
After almost 35 years of fishing, both streams and in the sea, I finally found a boot that I really like under all conditions. The changable sole system is just perfect for me!
I spend a lot of time on the river. Hiking, wading, rowing, etc. these were very uncomfortable to start. But, I am pleasantly surprised with how comfortable these boots are now that I have had time to break them in. The face material of these boots fades quickly but I do not see any substantial issues with the actual infrastructure of the boot. These boots are good looking. Here’s to hoping they stand up to the test for a couple more years. Thanks Korkers for the best wading boot options on the market.
I really like the fact that you can tighten the laces for the instep area and then lock the laces down, then tighten the ankle area. The ankle and the instep can be independently tight. I've only worn these for this fall, but so far I like these boots better than any boot I yet worn.
Just received my Wraptr boots yesterday, and I am very pleased so far with my purchase. Upon getting home from work I tore open the package, put on my wetsuit and laced up my new boots to go test them out on the sketchiest local jetty in town.
Immediately while sccaling up the side of the rock pile, I knew I was going to be very pleased. The tide was about halfway in on a full moon flood, and about half of the rocks throughout the ~1/4 mile long jetty were wet from taking on breakers. Perfect testing grounds. I began my trek out, hopping onto every wet rock I could while maintaining excellent footing and no lack of balance.
The ankle support in these boots is phenomenal. The durability seems like it should be everything it is hyped up to be. The comfort is great, and the traction is on point. I was honestly a little hesitant while looking at the studded soles before lacing up, because the stock studs are quite small, but to my surprise they did not disappoint one bit. I did get a free pair of the new Triple Threat studded soles also, but they shipped separately and have not arrived yet. I'm sure I will be somehow even more pleased with the addition of those.
I ended up testing these boots for about 3 hours on the jetty, constantly moving around while casting, and did not have a single slip up or stumble. Today I am making the journey to put them to the true test of Montauk, and I am confident that they will not disappoint me. Only time will tell for the durability of the boots, but the seamless design seems like it will truly hold up to whatever you throw at them.
Thank you Korkers for another excellent product, I will be recommending these boots to anyone I can.
